Meeting Minutes and Late News Reports

Maumee Valley Model Boat Club

The fun run for July has been set up for Fallen Timbers Mall in their pond.  The pond is 6 feet deep all the way around. They also have tables we can use. I gave them the time of 1 - 4 P.M. as they have something else scheduled around the pond at 6 P.M. Please add to our schedule.  Bob

Contacted Fallen Timbers - Everything is set up for July 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. fun Run - The fountains are supposed to be shut off.  There is a one way narrow street right in front of the steps for the pond. We can drop our boats off right there (tell security if stopped, what you are doing) After drop off-move your car to a designated parking area.  They have very limited tables and not very big, so if you have a table of some kind to set your boats on, bring it. bob

I have received permission through channels, to run boats Downtown in the man-made pond behind the O.I. building. I feel that the sooner we run in this pond, the better it would be for any future runs we may have Downtown. Of course I have to secure our day with the Hotel, but they have said it is free of charge and we may run as long as we notify them, and to make sure they have no other events that day. Bottom line guys; my idea is to try and secure it for our August Fun Run, make Sept. at Olander, and if we want, make October Run at our home pond. I need to know if you are interested in Downtown running, so I may secure the day. If yes, please respond A.S.A.P. and I will update you at the next meeting.
